Santa Clara students are capable of doing more than just drinking excessively and lighting couches on fire. This page is dedicated to the hard work students do to help others in our surrounding community. |

Alpha Phi - Star Search (2012)
In February the Alpha Phi sorority hosts their annual Star Search Event. The event is a dance competition between teams ranging from 5 people, to 25 people. Teams usually consist of different grade levels of sororities and fraternities, different off campus houses, and our former Orientation Leaders. This philanthropy event raised $9333 this year from both ticket sales, and participating teams entry fees. The impressive turn out, typically over 700 viewers in the audience, watched as each team danced, fist pumped, and threw glitter to a wide variety of songs.

Every year the Alpha Phi Sorority puts on an enormous event for Charity, raising over $70,000 this year. The event consists of dinner, a silent and open bid auction, and a dance. The event is mostly attended by Parents, Alumni, and invited guests, however the event is open to everyone. This year's popular auction items were signed Kobe Bryant shoes, a weekend vacation in Las Vegas with VIP club amenities, and a black labrador puppy that sold for $1700.
